ABOUT US

After a brief stint working in corporate America, James Kinsel began farming organically in the mid-1980s. Most of those years he focused on growing the finest quality, best tasting and affordable certified organic produce available for a large Community-Supported Agriculture program based on the outskirts of Princeton, NJ and called Honey Brook Organic Farm CSA. In the mid-2000s, his now-wife Sherry Dudas joined him in his farming endeavor, after a career devoted to open space and farmland preservation.

In 2021, Jim and Sherry discontinued their CSA program to focus on growing certified organic fruits for pick-your-own and wholesale sales. In 2023, Chesterfield Organic Orchards will continue to offer asparagus, chestnuts and pick-your-own (pyo) fruit crops in bucolic Chesterfield NJ, near Cream Ridge, Allentown, NJ & Bordentown, NJ. We will also be hosting farm events occasionally.

PYO Organic Fruit

We are organic asparagus and fruit farmers and offer pick-your-own harvesting of our organic strawberries, figs, Asian and American persimmons and pawpaws. We also have pre-picked blueberries and Chinese chestnuts available for purchase when in season. We update this webpage as well as our Facebook page when fruit & nuts are in season.

Our nursery is a source for organically-grown yellow raspberry, Natchez blackberry, aronia, blueberry and honeyberry plants, fig trees and hardy kiwi vines for the commercial farmer as well as home gardeners. Please call or text 609-847-9066 for an appointment to visit our nursery.
